Melbourne-based trio whose music paints a soundscape of carefully placed electronic elements with melodic guitar and smooth riffing bass lines with powerful percussive rhythms.
Their music can be described as ‘dream pop’ or ‘electronic chill’ — With influences from
the likes of Bjork, Bonobo and Portishead and strong comparisons to The XX, Florence And The Machine and London Grammar.
Dave and Adam have been working together for over six years and have over forty years performing, writing and producing experience between them. Dave and Sophie had crossed paths on the Melbourne live scene many times and it was an instant connection when the three decided to work together. The first meeting of the trio sparked an intensely creative session, that actually produced their first song in less than 4 hours.
Their relationship and creative connection has flourished over the ten months they’ve been together and ‘Fake Sibling’, the band’s name, seemed perfect to describe their playful dynamic.
They have recently released their debut single ‘Bring Me Here’, with planning and writing currently underway for an album, due for release in 2018.
